Our Regular Activities

CHAI Wellbeing Walking Group

For over 10 years, we’ve run seasonal walking groups, particularly in spring and summer. These walks are more than just exercise; they are a chance to practice outdoor mindfulness, explore local parks and green spaces, learn the benefits of regular walking, create memories and encourage family activity.

We also plan group challenges and exciting outdoor trips throughout the year.

Bollycise

Our indoor Bollycise classes bring the joy of Bollywood and Bhangra dance to CHAI! Held in the autumn and winter months, these fun-filled sessions offer a high-energy, culturally rich workout, guidance from a qualified instructor and a chance to move, laugh, and connect.

Other Fitness Activities

Thanks to our partnerships with ABL Health and other organisations, we’ve hosted a wide variety of instructor-led classes, such as:

Physical Activity Trips

When funding is available, we take fitness outdoors—literally. Our activity trips combine fun, challenge, and exploration. Past adventures have included:

🏞️ Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (10km trek—4 times!)
🏔️ Climbing Scafell Pike
🌳 Go Ape Treetop Challenge at Grizedale Forest (twice!)
🕳️ Exploring Yorkshire Caves
🥾 Hiking trails like Dovestones, Healey Dell, and Tandle Hill
